From our long partnership with our Hungarian importer, we have received some
superlative casks which had been previously used to mature the ultra-sweet Patricius
wine from Tokaj. What better pairing than with a fruity and flowery whisky from

The effect of two years in first fill Pedro Ximenez casks on this delicate Speyside malt
does not necessarily make it a winey whisky, but it definitely helped in enhancing texture,
body and its creamy character.
A finish for 18 months in first fill Pedro Ximenez hogsheads enriched this very smoky
Islay malt with a particular robustness of body. The interaction between the peat and
the wine gave life to a delicious interplay of flavours,
