This English single malt was drawn from Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and cream sherry casks, along with a small number of red wine casks in there too. As such, it's a super aromatic, incense-forward release, bottled up at a healthy 54% ABV.
Nose: Fragrant incense leaps from the glass, with dark chocolate biscuits and treacle tart.
Palate: Warming oak spice leads into notes of golden syrup, chai spices and date.
Finish: Honeyed fruit and cinnamon linger on a warming finish.
