The whisky from the only distillery in the coastal town of Fort William, with a view of the highest Scottish mountain from which it takes its name, is always very sought after. Its malty character, medium body and fresh notes of oranges are quite unmistak

But this release is much more extreme in style, and all the more precious because of it. The influence of the first fill Oloroso sherry cask has resulted in a very dry whisky, with marked winey notes and an intense nose of sour red fruits (wild berries, cherries, but also peaches). At the palate, the dry character of the sherry is dominating: fragrantly fruity, but very spicy and hot, sharp like a blade.
